Kayla Campbell is the proud owner and director of Gippsland Musical Theatre Company. Founded just six months ago, the company has already flourished under Kayla’s leadership, with her passion for the performing arts clearly reflected in both her students and her dedicated staff. Kayla began dancing at the age of six, completing numerous dance examinations and competing in a wide range of competitions. She trained in the classical Cecchetti method before furthering her studies at Transit Dance in Melbourne, where she completed a Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management. This training led her to teach across a variety of dance and theatre schools over the years. A passionate performer herself, Kayla’s proudest achievements include performing in Latrobe Theatre Company’s Mamma Mia and receiving a Victorian Guild commendation, along with the GAT Award for Most Outstanding Choreography for her work on Warragul Theatre Company’s Legally Blonde in 2024.
